Job Description

Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years in mechanical engineering within the solar industry
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Role Overview: Our client, a prominent solar company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their innovative team in Nairobi. This role is crucial for someone with a strong background in mechanical aspects of solar projects and exceptional mechanical drafting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design mechanical components and systems for solar energy projects using CAD and other mechanical design software.
  • Develop detailed drafts and mechanical layouts for solar installations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure technical requirements and project specifications are met.
  • Supervise the manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Perform stress tests and ensure all designs meet structural and environmental requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support during the construction and operational phases of projects.

Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Advanced proficiency in mechanical drafting and design software.
  • Extensive experience in the design, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems in solar projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex mechanical issues.
